As we enter the the final month of our first year – even with a few missing pieces – we can safely say that SUPIA has had an amazingly solid launch.
This past weekend was indicative of that growth, as at least 12 member businesses of all different sizes and from 9 different regions were either sponsoring or participating in the event. The PADDLE ROYAL in San Juan, Puerto Rico is hosted by the amazing event director, SUPIA member Jaime Torres of VELAUNO. SUPIA Member Sponsors included BIC SUP in a big way with both Jimmy Blakeney from Rhode Island and Patrice Remoiville from France in attendance with members ZHIK and FCS also sponsored the BIC Worlds, Chris Stec from ACA was there and SURFTECH rounded out the list of SUPIA members that sponsored. Member attendees/participants included Kim Reilly of CAPE COD PADDLE SURF in Massachussets, Danny Ching of 404 in California, Joselin Ramos of AMATEUR SUP in PR, Jojo Braddock of SUNCOAST SURF SHOP in Florida, Gina Bradley of PADDLE DIVA in New York, and Deb Fattibone of COASTAL CT SUP in Connecticut.
